![]() Survivorship ResourcesLocal community resources, events and support groups Breast Friends is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for breast cancer patients by teaching friends and family of cancer patients specific ways to offer support, and help them understand what the patient is going through. KOMAK is an Oregon-based non-profit organization founded to provide immediate and interim assistance to low- and middle-income individuals and families in the Portland area impacted by cancer. Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon & SW Washington supports newly diagnosed ovarian cancer patients, family members or friends with useful information, opportunities for support and networking in our community. Pink Phoenix Dragon Boat Team consists solely of breast cancer survivors. Our mission is to enhance breast cancer awareness and to provide hope for survivors that there is quality life after breast cancer. Quest Center Healing and Empowerment Program (HEP) provides specialized support for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients, those undergoing treatment for the disease, and survivors at any stage. Sherie Hildreth Ovarian Cancer Foundation (SHOC) provides funding for ovarian cancer research, to educate women about early detection of ovarian cancer, and to empower women recovering from ovarian cancer to find emotional, spiritual and physical balance and well being. Susan G. Komen For The Cure (Oregon & SW Washington Affiliate) for more than 20 years, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation has been a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research and community-based outreach programs. Wasabi Team SOAR (Survivors on a River) is a competitive dragon boat team from Portland, Oregon made up entirely of women cancer survivors.
