N.E.D. performing live at the Rhythm Heals benefit concert Northwest Cancer Specialists and N.E.D. joined hands at the Rhythm Heals benefit concert October 25 at Portland's Historic Crystal Ballroom with a mission to enhance knowledge about gynecologic cancers. The event was a tremendous success with over 500 people attending and raising nearly $40,000.
Interview with Dr. Jay Andersen, Northwest Cancer Specialists KUIK Family Focus 101 hosted by Diane Dennis October 27, 2009 Dr. Jay Andersen discusses the benefits of the Oncotype DX assay test in women with early-stage (Stage I or II), node-negative, estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) invasive breast cancer who will be treated with hormone therapy. The test provides a more personalized evaluation of recurrence risk, identifying those patients who warrant inclusion of chemotherapy in addition to anti-hormone therapy as part of their treatment plan.
